Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale govern the sale of looms, accessories and weaving classes by Erwan LE BRIS (Métiers à Tisser Le Bris), a French sole trader — SIREN 790 627 889 — to private customers.

1. Looms and accessories — ordering

Products are handmade to order following acceptance of a personalised quote sent by email. An order is final once the deposit (generally 50%) has been received and the customer has confirmed in writing.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros (€), all taxes included — VAT not applicable, French Tax Code article 293 B. Payment can be made by bank transfer, card (SumUp), PayPal (including PayPal in 4 instalments) or Alma (payment in 2 to 4 instalments), depending on the methods offered on the quote or in person. A 50% deposit is required at the time of order, with the balance due before shipping or on delivery.

3. Manufacturing and delivery

Looms and accessories are handmade at the workshop in Bannalec, Brittany. Production times (generally 4 to 8 weeks) are indicated on the quote. Delivery is made via Colissimo or a carrier to the address provided by the customer (shipping costs additional), or handed over in person at the workshop or at markets and fairs.

4. Right of withdrawal

For standard products: a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of receipt applies (return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility).
For made-to-order or personalised products: no right of withdrawal applies, in accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

5. Warranties

Products are covered by the legal warranty of conformity (2 years) and the warranty against hidden defects. Any defect should be reported by email as soon as possible.

6. Weaving classes — booking and payment

Booking a class session (individual or group, at the workshop or at a client's home within Finistère) is confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit of the session fee. The balance is paid on site, on the day of the class.

7. Weaving classes — cancellation

Cancellation by the customer more than 7 days before the class date entitles the customer to a full refund of the deposit. Between 7 and 2 days before the date, the deposit is retained as compensation, unless a rescheduling to a later session is agreed by the workshop. Less than 48 hours before the date, the deposit is forfeited and rescheduling is not guaranteed.
If the workshop cancels a class (illness, force majeure, insufficient enrolment), the deposit is fully refunded or carried over to a later session, at the customer's choice.

8. Disputes

Applicable law: French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing agreement, the competent court is that of Quimper, France. In accordance with French regulations, consumers may also refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator.
